Helping families become
happier and healthier

Parenting isn't what you thought it would be.

It feels like everyone in your house is always arguing.

Temper outbursts. Power struggles. Disrespect.

Maybe you're fighting with your co-parent about how to discipline.

Your child may be struggling at home, school, or both.

Your family is having a hard time; you need help.

Sad Woman on Window Sill - Charlotte Parent Coaching

Your relationship with your child is strained at best; high-conflict at worst. Maybe you're wondering if your child needs to go to boarding school or wilderness camp.

It’s affecting everything.

Your ability to care for your other children.

Your ability to concentrate at work.

 Your marriage.

 Your self-esteem.

Your home life is really tough, and you’re feeling pretty hopeless.

How can I help?

My goal is to make your job easier. To feel less alone in this.

I have nearly  22 years of experience working with parents and kids with challenging behaviors. I work with all sorts of families, with children of all ages. My job is to help, not judge.

I have a lovely office in the Carmel area of Charlotte, and I would love to welcome you there.

However, sometimes it's better for me to come to you. Your home, on your schedule. No traffic or waiting rooms. We'll decide on the best location together.

When you schedule your session, you can individualize the length based on what you need---60 minutes? 75 minutes? 90 minutes? Our goal is to maximize the benefit of our work together each time we meet.

Upset kid Charlotte Parent Coaching

We’re all working together, so if one of your other children is struggling with something, I can support them, too. I collaborate with teachers, physicians, psychiatrists, attorneys, and other professionals to coordinate the best treatment possible.

The support I offer is meant to be problem-focused, practical, and individualized. I don't want to just talk theoretically about parenting issues. I want you to get relief; to see real change in your home. I want you to get through this rough time and get back to your life with newfound knowledge to stay happy and healthy.

This is an investment in your family. It's a little unconventional. You’ll find me to be a good communicator, caring, accessible, and focused.

Let’s get started.

Schedule a 30-minute phone intake session so you can tell me about your concerns, ask me all your questions, and find out the next steps. No obligation or pressure, just some information gathering so we can find out if we're a good fit and get started on our work together.

"Dr. Egan...I'm struggling to find words to articulate how much I appreciate all that you've done for my son. As his parent, it warms my heart to see others stand up for him. Your compassion is unparalleled."
