Egan Counseling & Consulting
Proudly providing child and adolescent therapy, teen counseling, family therapy, coparenting counseling, and parent coordination services
Parenting isn't what you thought it would be.

It feels like everyone in your house is always arguing.

Temper outbursts. Power struggles. Disrespect. Sadness.

Maybe you're fighting with your co-parent about how to discipline.

Your child may be struggling at home, school, or both.
Your family is having a hard time; you need help.
Your relationship with your child, teen, or coparent is strained at best; high-conflict at worst.
Maybe you're wondering if your little one is typically developing, or if they need more help. Maybe you're worried that your other child is showing signs of depression or engaging in risky behavior.

It’s affecting everything.
Your ability to care for your other children.

Your ability to concentrate at work.

Your marriage.

Your self-esteem.

Your home life might be really tough right now, and you’re feeling pretty hopeless.
How Can We Help?
Our goal at Egan Counseling & Consulting is reduce the stress that comes from a family member(s) who is struggling with symptoms associated with anxiety, depression, emotional dysregulation, ADHD, underperformance in school, low self-esteem or overall family conflict. We strive to make you feel less alone and more hopeful.
Our therapists have extensive experience working with parents and kids with challenging behaviors. We work with all sorts of families; with children of all ages.
Our job is to help, not judge. We provide helpful tools and practical strategies that can be applied today to improve your family life and increase your confidence in your parenting or coparenting.
We have a lovely office in the Carmel area of Charlotte, and we would love to welcome you there.
However, sometimes it's better for us to connect via telehealth, OR to come to your home or your child's school, at your convenience. No traffic or waiting rooms. We'll decide on the best location together.
When you schedule your session, you can customize the length based on what you need---60 minutes? 75 minutes? 90 minutes? Our goal is to maximize the benefit of our work together each time we meet.
We’re all working together, so if one of your other children is struggling with something, we can support them, too. We collaborate with teachers, physicians, psychiatrists, attorneys, parent coordinators, guardian ad litems, and other professionals to coordinate the best treatment possible.
The support we offer is meant to be problem-focused, practical, and individualized. We don't want to just talk theoretically about parenting issues. We want you to get relief; to see real change in your home. We want you to get through this rough time and get back to your life with newfound knowledge to stay happy and healthy.
This is an investment in your family. You’ll find our therapists to be good communicators, caring, accessible, and focused.
Get started with child, adolescent, family,
or coparenting therapy.
Schedule a 30-minute or 60-minute New Client Intake Session with one of our therapists so we can learn more about your concerns, answer all your questions, and determine the next
