Lacey Wallace

Lacey Wallace, M.Ed., LCMHCA, NCC, (pronouns: she/her) is an experienced counselor who works with children, adolescents, and young adults as they encounter familial changes, transitions, worry/anxiety, questions of self-worth, executive functioning and academic challenges, and difficulty regulating emotions. She also has experience working with military families to support transitions and the stages of deployment. Lacey employs creative strategies in her child and family therapy. She believes family involvement is key to progress when working with children. Lacey assists caregivers in building healthy familial relationships while building structures and routines that contribute to client progress.
Lacey helps clients to reflect upon experiences to determine their impact on current thinking patterns and behaviors. She assists clients in increasing self-awareness and developing coping skills to build resiliency as they face stressors. Lacey facilitates client growth through a strengths-based approach, allowing clients to develop strategies that align with their strengths and meet their individual counseling goals.

Q: What are Lacey's fees?
Lacey's services are self-pay. Payment can be made via debit, credit, or HSA card. Superbills are available upon request.​
Lacey is a National Board Certified Counselor who earned a Bachelor of Science from James Madison University where she majored in Psychology and minored in Family Studies. She later earned a Master of Education from Loyola University Maryland with a concentration in School Counseling. There, she earned the Reverend John E. Wise, S.J. Medal for Distinguished Achievement in Education and served as the Chi Sigma Iota Counseling Honor Society President.

Lacey worked as an elementary counselor and a middle school counseling department chair before becoming the School Counseling Specialist for Anne Arundel Public Schools. During her tenure as a school counselor, she wrote counseling curriculum, co-created an executive functioning toolkit, served as a district-wide trauma planner, and was nominated for West County Chamber of Commerce Educator of the Year.
