Jennifer Robertson

Jennifer M. Robertson, MSW, LCSWA (she/her) is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker Associate and Psychotherapist with extensive experience supporting children, adolescents, adults, and families through emotional, behavioral, and mental health challenges. She uses a trauma‑informed, strengths‑based approach and provides both individual and family therapy, integrating evidence‑based modalities such as EMDR, CBT, ACT, Motivational Interviewing, Solution‑Focused Therapy, and Person‑Centered Therapy to create personalized treatment plans that support each client’s unique needs and goals.

With over a decade of experience in educational and mental health settings, Jennifer brings a deep understanding of child development, family systems, and school‑based challenges. Her professional journey includes roles as a Teacher Assistant, First Grade Teacher, School Social Worker, and now Psychotherapist. These experiences have strengthened her ability to support children and families facing academic, behavioral, social, and emotional difficulties while fostering healthy communication, resilience, and positive family relationships.

Jennifer’s services are self-pay. Payment can be made via debit, credit, or HSA card. Superbills are available upon request.

 

Jennifer earned her Bachelor of Social Work degree from Johnson C. Smith University and her Master of Social Work degree from Fordham University. She has received specialized training in EMDR, an evidence‑based treatment that helps individuals process trauma and distressing life experiences. Her clinical areas of focus include ADHD, anxiety disorders, depression, PTSD, trauma‑related concerns, emotional regulation, self‑esteem, and life transitions.

 

Her therapeutic style is warm, collaborative, and authentic. She believes healing happens within safe, supportive relationships and strives to ensure clients feel seen, heard, and empowered.
